THE AIRPARK

RUNWAY RESURFACED IN 2016!

The centerpiece of Holley Mountain Airpark is a 4,795 long by 50' wide paved runway - 05 and 23 - with GPS approaches to both.  The runway is equipped with pilot-controlled lighting, REILs, and PAPI and VASI approach lighting.  A fresh overlay of asphalt and repainted markings were completed in November 2016.  A large visitor parking ramp is available on the 05 end.  Friendly controllers at Memphis Center provide instrument approach guidance and VFR flight following. A large lighted windsock is easily visible from any part of the runway. A brand new rotating beacon was installed on the nearby water tower in November of 2015.

While the runway is the centerpiece of Holley Mountain Airpark, the people are its soul.  Pilots and their families enjoy their homes, hangars, and airplanes in a park-like setting.  Residents regularly socialize with impromptu dinner parties and fly-outs for that "hundred-dollar hamburger" or special trips organized by the local EAA chapter.   And of course, the annual pilgrimage to AirVenture in Oshkosh!

Your new neighbors are a diverse slice of current and former professionals - from engineers to attorneys, airline pilots to educators, business persons to healthcare and many others professions represented.   In addition, a local EAA Chapter meets monthly and is made up of many "HMAr's", as well as aviation enthusiasts from Clinton and surrounding towns.  The chapter hosts fly-in's (and out's), Young Eagles events, a Aeronca restoration project and more.

The airpark is maintained by the Holley Mountain Property Owners Association, Inc., which collects assessments and judiciously spends those funds to sustain the airpark infrastructure and appearance.  The airpark is completely self-funded, operating on a cash basis, and receives no federal or state grant money whatsoever.  The POA is represented by a five-member Board of Directors, a Secretary, and a Treasurer - who are residents and property owners of the airpark - that meet monthly to conduct business.  An annual meeting is held in November for the election of officers and to discuss the past years accomplishments and the goals for the future.   Annual assessments are $1,700 for this property.  Click HERE to review the airpark's Covenants and Restrictions.

The airpark is located just seven miles from nearby Clinton, Arkansas - our friendly, laid-back little three stoplight town - population about 2,500. The recently completed Highway 65 roadway widening project makes getting necessities at Wal-Mart, the new Tractor Supply Co., grocery, hardware, doctor visits and other stores, restaurants and services a snap. The nearby Ozark Health Medical Center recently completed an expansion/improvement project, as well.

The airpark is carved out of the natural beauty of the Boston Mountains - the southern edge of the Ozarks. The nearby huge Greers Ferry Lake can satisfy all of your boating and fishing needs.   The spectacular Buffalo National Rivera national treasure just to the north, offers amazing scenery, canoeing and hiking.

You'll only be a few miles from additional shopping and dining in rapidly growing Conway or Little Rock to the south.  And for a fun weekend, Branson Missouri's music and comedy is just a couple hours drive north. Don't miss the amazing Crystal Bridges Museum of American Art in Bentonville, AR.  Horse racing happens every spring at Oaklawn Park in Hot Springs.  Or step back in time on Beale Street or Graceland in Memphis, TN, just a three hour drive east.   But who drives?  You live with your airplane now!   Antique shops are dotted along Highway 65 both to the north and south.

Petit Jean State Park is just a 15 minute flight away (AND has it's own runway with a campground exclusively for pilots and their planes!) and features the world famous Winthrop Rockefeller Institute nearby.   Gotta golf?  No problem! Courses are waiting minutes away in Fairfield Bay.
